We wrapped up the group C round robin today and had a successful day.  We finished the day 3-1 making our round robin score 6-1, tied with Lucy MacGregor from Great Britain.  We both advance onto the gold fleet that will seed us for the quarterfinals of the US Sailing's Rolex Miami OCR.

Day 1, Late Finish, 3-0, Good Day

January 24, 2011
Miami, FL

We have just gotten home from a late day of sailing, finishing up day 1 of US SAILING’s Rolex Miami OCR. Group C completed three races this afternoon hitting the dock at 6pm.  We had a good day finishing with three wins in our three races. It was a beautiful day, cloudy, but the wind was up around 12-15kts and mostly flat water.   The temperature was in the high 60's/low 70's which made it very pleasant.

Pre-US Sailing's 2011 Rolex OCR Tensions
January 23, 2011
Miami, FL

Tension within the house is rising on the eve of the 2011 Miami Rolex OCR Regatta. But not for the regatta, we are very relaxed about the event. The tension is for the big game tonight (oh, and the one this afternoon). We are split 2-2 for the Steelers-Jets, and the trash talking has been going on all week long.

2nd At The USSTAG WMR Qualifiers
January 9, 2010
Miami, FL

Today was the last day of racing at the USSTAG Qualifier here in Miami.  We had a light air, warm day, quite different from yesterday's conditions.  Sally Barkow's team won their final match in their semi-final match up and then continued their winning streak by taking the series in the finals 3-0 over us.  We had a couple of great races with Barkow and team, but they sailed an excellent series and got the better of us.
