2011 USSTAG WMR Qualifying Regatta

We had everything from 0kts up to 17kts today at the USSTAG Qualifier here in Miami, FL.  The race committee did a fabulous job with the conditions and managed to get in 9 flights, one complete round robin and two flights into the next round.  We had a great day and finished 9-0.

US Sailing's Olympic Team of the Year

Key Biscayne, FL

After coming off the water due to lack of wind last week while training, we received an email with some more great news. We had been named US Sailing Olympic Team of the Year for the 2010 season. This award was voted on by the Olympic Sailing Committee and we will be considered for the US Olympic Committee Team of the Year, against all other sports.

Olympic Gold Medalist, World Class Woman Laser Radial Sailor And Now World Class Women's Match Racer

  Representing the USA, Anna Tunnicliffe won the Gold Medal in the Women's Laser Radial dinghy at the 2008 Olympic Games in Qingdao, China. Anna was the ISAF world's Number One-ranked women's Radial sailor from April 9, 2008 to May 2010.  She was voted 2009 & 2011 ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year.  Now Anna, skipper of Team Maclaren, has teamed up with Molly O'Bryan Vandemoer and Debbie Capozzi to take on the world and go for Gold in 2012 London Olympic Games in Women's Match Racing and the team is currently ranked #1 in the ISAF WMR rankings.
