Dying Breeze, Ripping Current: Day 1, 2010 Snipe Women's World Championships

The 2010 Snipe Women's Worlds started today at St. Petersburg YC, FL.  We have 24 teams racing from 10 countries.  Molly and I had a great day finishing with a 3,1 in the first two races, to finish the day in second overall behind Trixy and Yuyu Agusti from Argentina who had a 1, 2. In third place is USA's Kathleen Tocke with seven points.

2010 Pro-Am Regatta, Bitter End Yacht Club

We couldn't have asked for better weather at this year's Bitter End Pro-Am Regatta.  With great wind, plentiful sunshine, and a beautiful back drop, this year's regatta was as much fun as last year's.

WSF, Time Off, Elliott 6m's, Snipe Women's World Championships

After leaving Bermuda, the team went to their respective homes for two weeks.  And now we're back together for some training at the Chicago Match Race Center this week, in the Elliott 6m boats.  It has been a while since all of us sailed together and sailed the Elliotts but we are looking forward to some great practices against Bill Hardesty and his team.

2010 Argo Group Gold Cup: Our Final Day

Today was our last race at the 2010 Argo Group Gold Cup.  We had two races
yesterday and one race today to finish up our round robin. We won one race yesterday, and were winning the race today until the last downwind leg, when we were passed just at the finish line.  This meant our overall score was 1-5...not very impressive I agree, but we had a good time sailing and learned some new things from sailing against these top guys.

Olympic Gold Medalist, World Class Woman Laser Radial Sailor And Now World Class Women's Match Racer

  Representing the USA, Anna Tunnicliffe won the Gold Medal in the Women's Laser Radial dinghy at the 2008 Olympic Games in Qingdao, China. Anna was the ISAF world's Number One-ranked women's Radial sailor from April 9, 2008 to May 2010.  She was voted 2009 & 2011 ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year.  Now Anna, skipper of Team Maclaren, has teamed up with Molly O'Bryan Vandemoer and Debbie Capozzi to take on the world and go for Gold in 2012 London Olympic Games in Women's Match Racing and the team is currently ranked #1 in the ISAF WMR rankings.
