The Weekend Before The Worlds
September 18th and 19th
Various Locations, Ultimately Newport RI

Anna tries to occupy her mind with other activities as part of her preparation for a major regatta.  Apart from travelling, which actually takes up a major part of the time,  she runs, takes others sailing and watches her coach play soccer.  She had a wonderful day sharing her joy for sailing with families at The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp.

Training In Connecticut; Preparing For The Worlds
September 17, 2010
Weston, CT

We have just finished a training camp at Noroton YC in Connecticut preparing for our World Championships which are in Newport, RI beginning on Monday.  We had four days of great wind and fabulous training that allowed us to work on all areas of our game, particularly those that needed most improvement. We were training with our coach, Dave Dellenbaugh, and Clay Bishcoff along with a variety of crews.  All four days provided winds from 10-20 kts, off-shore and on-shore, along with current; exactly the conditions we wanted leading into the the upcoming event.

7th Overall At Buddy Melges Challenge
September 11, 2010
Sheboygan, WI

It was a day of rain, light wind, fog and big waves today at the Buddy Melges Challenge.  Our regatta ended a day earlier than we had hoped as we went 2-2 today to bring our record to 3-4 overall.  We had some very close races and lost the last race by inches to decide if we advanced on to the semi's or not.  However, we didn't and ended up 7th overall.

Difficult Day: Light Winds and Waves, Buddy Melges Challenge

September 10, 2010
Sheboygan, WI

It was a difficult day of sailing today in Sheboygan at the Buddy Melges
Challenge. The wind started off quite well for the morning group who had four races to finish.  When we finally got out on the water, the wind had died to about 6kts, but there was a 2-4ft swell left over from the morning winds, which made sailing quite challenging as the wind slowly died through the rest of the day to eventually die out during our last race.
