After sitting around for most of the day waiting for the wind to drop,
wefinally got on the water around 3:45 for a 5pm start of racing. We
completed one race, in which I finished with a
good 5th place, before the
wind died to nothing at the Laser Radial World Championships.
Today didn't go so well at the 2010 Radial Worlds . It was a tough day
with tricky conditions. I pulled off two very bad races to drop a lot in the overall standings. I haven't even looked at the results to see where I
am, but I know that I have to sail exceptionally well for the rest of the event for a good finish.
I had a great start to racing at the 2010 Radial Worlds here
in Largs, Scotland.I finished day
1 with a 1, 2 to be tied for first overall with Marit Bouwmeester from Netherlands.Close behind us by one point is my USSTAG team mate Paige
Railey with 4 points.

Scotland has lived up to everything everyone has told me. The scenery is amazingly beautiful, but it rains frequently. The water is quite cold, but the wind provides fantastic sailing. I have been here in Largs for the last week and a half, training to get ready for the 2010 Laser Radial World Championships.
