Great news for Team Maclaren!!! Anna was nominated for the 2011 Rolex ISAF World Sailor for the Year.
The announcement was made earlier today when the final list of
nominees was released. The winner will be selected from this list of 4
sailors on November 8th at the ISAF annual meeting in Puerto Rico. The
nominees are selected based on their performance from September 1, 2010
through August 31, 2011. The public is encouraged to nominate athletes
based on their performance and a selection committee selects the top
resumes and nominates them as finalist for this great award.

It's been a while since we've written, but Team Maclaren has been busy training hard in Chicago at the Chicago Match Race Center.
We have had two sessions so far there and have one more coming up. We
are currently on a four-day break, before we hit the water again on
Tuesday. We also had some great news; when the new ISAF world women's match race rankings came out for September, they showed us at #1.

We finished second at the US Sailing's 2011 Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championships
to overall champions Cory Sertl and team. It wasn't the best day of
racing today for us, but we hung close and managed to bring home the
silver this time.

It was a great day for Team Maclaren today at the US Sailing's 2011 RIWKC.
We entered the day five points out of the lead, and sailed to a 2, 1,
3 finish to bring us up to tied for first place with Sally Barkow and
team.
