Detroit Cup 2009: Day 2 Ends Initial Round Robin

Detroit, MI

Racing for the first round robin at the 2009 Detroit Cup concluded today. We had four races to do this morning and finished with a 3-1 record to add to our 5-2 record from yesterday. We finished the round 1st overall and will enter the quarter-finals tomorrow racing the number eight seed, Reuben Corbett from New Zealand.

Detroit Cup 2009: Pre-Regatta Report

September 2, 2009 Detroit, MI After a couple of days off, we are back sailing again in Detroit, MI in preparation for the 2009 Detroit Cup International Match Race. The Detroit Cup is an ISAF Grade 2 Open event. There are 12 teams competing, nine of which we saw and raced against in New York last week. Now Anna, skipper of Team Maclaren, has teamed up with Molly O'Bryan Vandemoer and Debbie Capozzi to take on the world and go for Gold in 2012 London Olympic Games in Women's Match Racing and the team is currently ranked #1 in the ISAF WMR rankings.
