Team Maclaren Finished 5th at 2011 Kieler Woche

Team Maclaren finished 5th in this year's Kieler Woche Regatta. We lost the quarterfinals 2-3 to Nicky Souter (AUS). We sailed the consolation round race-offs for 5-8th overall and won our two races to take 5th.

Top Seed Going Into The Quarter Finals

Kieler Woche, Day 3: We finished up the second round robin today and will start the quarterfinal racing tomorrow morning. Team Maclaren had a pretty good day, finishing the second round 8-2, ending the first stage with a 17-3 record and the top seed heading into tomorrow. We will race the 8 seed, Nicky Souter (AUS).

Long Day Of Wind, Rain Then Sun: Day 2 Kieler Woche 2011

It was another long day of sailing as the Kieler Woche race committee did a great job in the difficult conditions and managed to get in 9 flights of sailing. We had a good day, winning all of our races, giving us a 9-1 record in the first round robin and a 2-0 so far in the second.

Mixed Weather Leads To Close Racing: 2011 Kieler Woche Regatta

A long day of sailing started the 2011 Kieler Woche Regatta today.  We left the dock at 10 this morning and got back at 6pm. The weather was anything from sunny and light winds, to raining and strong winds in the high teens. It made for some very difficult sailing, but we sailed well and ended the day with a 5-1 record.

Olympic Gold Medalist, World Class Woman Laser Radial Sailor And Now World Class Women's Match Racer

  Representing the USA, Anna Tunnicliffe won the Gold Medal in the Women's Laser Radial dinghy at the 2008 Olympic Games in Qingdao, China. Anna was the ISAF world's Number One-ranked women's Radial sailor from April 9, 2008 to May 2010.  She was voted 2009 & 2011 ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year.  Now Anna, skipper of Team Maclaren, has teamed up with Molly O'Bryan Vandemoer and Debbie Capozzi to take on the world and go for Gold in 2012 London Olympic Games in Women's Match Racing and the team is currently ranked #1 in the ISAF WMR rankings.
