We finished the Semaine Olympique Francaise regatta with a silver medal.  We
lost the finals to Silke Hahlbrock from Germany 1-3.  However, coming out of the finals in second, moved us up to first in the overall ISAF World Cup rankings.

Today's conditions presented themselves as the same as the rest of week - no wind and warm.   But after about an hour and a half postponement, the wind came in and we could get some racing underway.  The races we lost today, we lost off the line.  We had control of her for most of the start and made silly mistakes at the end of the sequence to lose control and give it to her. The race that we won, we also started behind, but sailed very smart and managed to take over the lead again by the second windward mark to win the race.  Silke and team sailed a very good series and definitely deserved the win.  We learned a lot during the series, and are looking forward to working on the areas in which we were a bit weak.

Our next event starts on Tuesday with practice at the XII Women's Match Race Criterium held in Calpe, Spain. We are currently heading to Calpe, and plan on getting there tomorrow night and meeting up with the rest of our team. We are sailing Tom 28's with five people.  Joining our team is our fourth team member Liz Bower, and Mary Rook of GBR.  We are hoping to get in a couple of days practice before the regatta starts so as to get used to the boats.

We will give an update before the next event.  We would like to thank everyone for the words of encouragement during the event that kept us going. You can check the final results at the regatta website.

We would like to thank our sponsors Carmeuse and Trinity Yachts for their continued support for our campaign for the 2012 Olympics in London.  We would like to thank USSTAG for their continued support.
