Tonight's update will be short since we got off the water at 8:30pm and have
to be leaving the dock tomorrow morning at 8:30am. However, we do have
great news; we completed three of the four scheduled races and won
them all to take our round robin record to 6-0, and enough to advance us
through to the gold fleet in the next stage. Our final race tomorrow
is against GBR's Lucy MacGregor and team who are also 6-0 at this point
in the round.
It Was Wet Today

Today was a lot of waiting for the breeze and the wind to sort itself out. Group B were the first ones out. With one race left to go, the wind picked up to 30kts and a couple of things broke on the boats, so the fleet was sent in for a while. A couple of hours later, the matches that hadn't been completed were sent out, with the rest of us given permission to leave the harbour twenty minutes later. By 5pm, we were finally on our way out to the course to start our racing. The conditions were great for racing and we had some tight races. Our closest race was against France's Anne-Claire Le Berre. We made an error on the start line and started a little early, which meant we had to return to the line. This gave Le Berre a couple of lengths lead at the start. By the leeward mark, we had caught up to them and could play on the next beat. At the top mark, we managed to draw a red flag penalty, which meant they had to spin it immediately, giving us the lead and the race.

We have one race tomorrow morning, then a break for a couple of hours before
we head back out to start gold fleet racing. We have live tracking on
our boats all regatta long, to which you can link through the regatta website. You can also check the results there.
